“There is so much untapped potential inside people who are too afraid to give themselves a chance”
- Rachel Hollis
My Start
When I started college I went in as an Undeclared major, I didn't know what I wanted to do... but I did know that I didn't want to do anything that wouldn't allow me to be creative. After about my first semester, I decided to major in General Psychology, as I wanted to help others and to work with adults who had down syndrome.
I took 3 psychology courses, and during my second-year fourth semester, I took a communications course called Writing for visual media. This course opened my eyes to a whole new field that I fell in love with.
Communication Arts allowed me to be creative and to be challenged. I found how this one major incorporated so many new fields that I have grown to love as well as fields I already had a passion for.
Communication Arts also will allow me to help others and to allow me to be creative; these are both things that I strive for within a professional career.
